Improvement thru Movement is a dance studio plus much more. Our innovative approach promotes health and wellness. Not only do we teach dance, we apply principles of dance, stretching, nutrition and mental relaxation. This aids the well-being of all age groups by increasing their stamina, flexibility, core strength and overall fitness.
Improvement thru Movement dance studio will provide students with an opportunity to perform. This does NOT translate into recitals or competitions.
Classes for children include:
Ballet (2 yrs +), Pointe (10 yrs +), Ballet Variations, Character (7 yrs +), Jazz/Hip Hop (7 yrs +), Tap (6 yrs +), Dance Medley (4-6 yrs), Musical Theater (7 yrs +), Zumbatomic (4 yrs +), Pilates (12 yrs +)
Classes for Adults include:
Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz/Hip Hop, Dance Styles (individual), Latin/Ballroom (couples), Zumba, Pilates, Yoga, Masala Bhangra.
Specialty Classes and Workshops include:
“All About You” Series with Diana Fletcher, Basic Massage Techniques for Couples, Nutritional Seminars, Zumbathon, Yoga/Pilates Night for the Cure
**We believe yoga and pilates are an important study for everyone – not just dancers, athletes and fitness buffs. **
We cater to everyone: toddler to teen; middle-aged to geriatric, physically-challenged to trained athlete. Our belief is that everyone should “move” which will improve their physical health and well-being. If you have a special need, we will provide an individually-tailored program.
