MASALA  BHANGRA WORKOUT®
Derived from two Indian words:  Masala, meanining “spicy” in Hindi, and Bhangra, a traditional folk dance from the northern state of  Punjab, India. The Masala Bhangra Workout® is an exercise dance routine that modernizes the high-energy folk dance of Bhangra by blending traditional Bhangra dance steps and the exhilaration of Bollywood (Hindi film) moves, seen recently in the Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire! .  This unique dance mixes cardiovascular with fun and is suitable for participants of all ages and fitness levels.  It is a certified fitness program backed up by the fitness boards, and devised by Sarina Jain, the “Jane Fonda” of India.

ZUMBATOMIC FOR KIDS:  Little Stars and Big Stars
With 100% kid-friendly songs, dances, and action, the goal of Zumbatomic is to create a fun, healthy program for children using the Zumba Fitness concept.  Kids are invited to put on some comfortable clothes and shoes and come join the party!
Tuesday  4:30 – 5:00 pm   Zumbatomic Big Stars (7-11 yrs)
Tuesday  4:00 – 4:30 pm   Zumbatomic Little Stars (4-6 yrs)

DRESS CODES

Children’s Dress Code (2-5 year olds)
Girls - Pink leotard, pink footed tights and pink ballet shoes
Boys - black sweats or gym shorts, white t-shirt, white socks and white ballet shoes

Primary Syllabus Dress Code (6-12 year olds)
Black leotard, pink convertible tights and split sole ballet shoes

Teens Dress Code(13+)
Girls - Navy leotard, pink convertible tights and split sole ballet shoes
Boys - wear black sweats or gym shorts, white t-shirt, white socks and white ballet shoes
Diverse Syllabus Dress Code
Appropriate dress code will be provided at time of registration

The Details
~All hair is to be worn pulled back in a tight bun.  Short hair is to be secured back from the face.
~No leotards with attached skirts or tutus.
~Gaynor Minden Pointe shoes are recommended.  (See Director for information.)
~If a student must miss a class a makeup class may be taken.
